Forms of Exercise

In times gone by, you’d see fitness fanatics jogging everywhere. Dressed in their running outfits, they’d be pounding the pavement in parks and suburbs all over the world, sweating it out and incurring stress fractures. But with pollution increasing, not to mention the numbers of cars on the road, this form of activity is becoming more and more dangerous. Why battle traffic and the potential for asthma just to keep fit? It defeats the purpose!

So nowadays people are choosing subtler, indoor forms of exercise. To this end, yoga and Pilates are seeing a rise in popularity. Exercise is now a matter of packing up your yoga mats, jumping into the car and partaking in group classes – indoors, with air conditioning, and no pollutants assaulting your lungs. Swiss balls UK are another piece of equipment that are required for these new types of exercise, but usually they’re provided at the places you attend – it’s a little difficult to lug one around from class to class! But instead of risking injury, lung conditions and even personal attack while running through parks and dark streets, these new kinds of exercise offer more than just a sense of well being and being healthy. So why not pack up your aerobic mat and slippers, and head off to a class today?
